Claudine and Yves Camdeborde's bistrot reminds you that the restaurant is a kind of sublimation of the essentially domestic activities of cooking and eating. The moment you sit down you are presented with a fantastic coarse pâté in a large terrine, good bread and cornichons which you could eat yourself silly on alone. But the best is to come: wild boar and chestnut stew, hachis Parmentier made with boudin noir, coquilles Saint Jacques roasted with butter and chanterelle mushrooms. Puddings are the real bistro thing.
